Welcome to Archway Kennels, the home of quality, performance-bred Labrador Retrievers. Owned by Ken and Stacy Archer, Archway produces one to three litters of puppies per year. Each new generation is selectively bred to improve the performance and conformation of our own breeding stock. None of the dogs in our kennel are guaranteed a permanent home unless they meet or exceed standards that continue to get higher and higher every year.
As active members of the Alamo Retriever Club, we share a common love for hunting Labs and the training required to participate in AKC and HRC hunt tests and AKC field trials. We also like our Labs to be good looking representatives of the breed with personalities suitable for life in the home.
There was a time in the mid-seventies when field and show Labs could compete in either venue. Times change and the ability to produce a dual champion is gone. But that doesn't stop us from recreating those great dogs of the Seventies....dogs with high performance and great working conformation.
